Bible Baseball

Davka Corporation

Status: Full Game, Findability: 3/5

A very short entry for a title which we thought may have been released, but we’re were not quite sure at the time.

This title was reportedly released by Review and Herald Publishing Association, but went missing. However, Martin from Stadium 64 has kindly passed on links to scans of the game – which show it was released by Davka Corporation in the US.

Sadly it seems that the game was actually missing though. Interesting, the game was a variation on the following two games already in Gamebase, just with a different subject matter to teach:

We asked people to be on the look out for this particular variant, and Paladin/Genesis Project answered the call in September 2023! Thanks to Paladin, the game is now fully preserved and is a case closed!

Another one off the list!

  1. My atheist mind is thinking some very uncharitable things about the elementary spelling error in that screenshot. Good to have the game recovered though, the bizarre stuff can be more interesting than yet another Paradroid or Uridium knock-off.

  2. I wrote about Davka’s Bible Baseball in a 1983 computer column in the Philadelphia Daily News. It was written only for a Commodore computer and is no longer listed on the Davka website. I doubt if it’s even a collector’s item. Commodores are ancient, probably extinct.
