As a bonus Christmas update, we first up have the very rare ZX81 edition of Mugsy, which many of you will remember as a popular release from Melbourne House. This is the original idea and design which Melbourne House would base their game off, created by Collins Computing.

The game has been out there for sometime, though this is a newly preserved version by Steve Brown of the TZXVault, complete with inlay and tape scans (which are currently missing on Spectrum Computing/World of Spectrum). If you want to see more rare releases, be sure to check out TZXVault and their new Patreon.
In addition to this, I also did some obscure tape preservation work with some tapes from the Retro Computer Museum this summer, which included a Maths educational program called Adding Blocks (which we’re unsure of its origin!) and a tape backup kit: DOSOFT Rapid Backup System (which is already preserved, but here it is anyway).

With thanks to Steve Brown for the Mugsy preservation work and passing onto Games That Weren’t to add to the site and to Andy Spencer / Retro Computer Museum for the kind loan of the C64 tapes.

Another incredible find :)
