1993 TCFS
Platforms: Commodore Plus 4
A video surfaced in recent weeks, which was recorded at a home meeting in December 1993, a day before a Christmas computer event in Hungary. Sadly the game has no name at present.

The game is a Dizzy clone, which is built from the ground up and made by TCFS, who is a prolific Plus 4 developer who has done some amazing conversions such as Lemmings, Giana Sisters and most recently Ghosts’N Goblins arcade.
Sprites and some of the graphics have been ripped from other games, such as the palm tree being from Commando – though all of these would be changed at a later date. The game never got much further than what was shown in the video due to TCFS not being able to create a good narrative for it.
According to Plus/4 World, the game not only took palm trees from Commando, but also sprites from Creatures 2, background elements from Creatures and the main sprite from Dork’s Dilemma on the C16.
In a disk magazine called Nukepaper 08, there is a mention about the game. The description seems to suggest something different to a Dizzy clone, and more of a run and jump game. It details about how you control a small duck that turns into a ball when you run, and you have to jump over crocodile mouths to reach other banks and much more. When you see the video, then this matches up quite well.
Sadly, it has been confirmed that the game is lost, and the video is the only proof of its existence. It could take something rather special to see the game saved. Hopefully someone still has it on a disk somewhere!
With thanks to Csaba Virag for the heads up and details on the title and Luca Carrafiello for further information on the title.
