Following on from the preservation and recovery of ‘Allo ‘Allo on the PC, we now have another title which according to some websites was never released. Classic & Baby Arcadia is a collection of classic arcade titles that have been remixed with updated graphics and features.

The compilation was released for sure on the Commodore Amiga and has been preserved for some time. The PC edition of game (regardless of its status) has been missing, until today…
What’s interesting about this small compilation of games (including titles based off Space Invaders, Pacman, Arkanoid and Galaga) is that there is a “Baby” edition with much simplified versions of the games which are more child friendly. The “Baby” edition of Galaga was quite funny!
Now, there is a chance that the PC edition of the game did indeed get a very limited release – so if you own a copy of the PC edition, please do let us know. One of the disks we have preserved seems to be a proper mastered version of the game, so if it wasn’t – then it was at least close!
In addition to the final version of the game, we have also recovered two earlier evaluation builds of the game within the download. These contain various differences, missing music and graphical changes worth checking out.
The final release builds seem to have some kind of protection, where it keeps requesting that the original disk is inserted to play the game. Even though I have mounted the image as A: drive, it wasn’t having any of it. If anyone manages to get the last two versions working – please let us know and i’ll update the page.
With thanks to Darren Melbourne for allowing us to preserve!
