Towards the end of the year between projects, developer Mark Kirkby began experimenting during downtime. Many of you may remember the Triple Decker compilations that used to be released by Alternative Software on the likes of the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and other platforms. A budget compilation that used to feature 3 cool games of yesteryear at a decent price.

In tribute to the compilation and Alternative Software’s 40th Anniversary, prolific Game Boy / Game Boy Color studio WLS (ran by the brilliant László Rajcsányi) approached with an idea to release a commemorative game collection featuring their own ZX Spectrum, Commodore 16/Plus 4/64/VIC-20 titles that were originally released between 1985 and 1987.
