Not much is known about this game, but was come across after searching through some old magazines.
This game by Realtime Software was offered to readers, so they could send off by mail order and purchase the game. This was for the Commodore 64 version only, as the other 8-bit versions were to follow at a later date.
AFAIK, there has never been a review of the game or anything seen of it. It’s also not in Gamebase, or down as a title they are looking for. So did Realtime Software collapse before they could shift out the game?… Did any ever sneak out?
Recently more information has been passed on thanks to Pete Weighill, regarding what the game was like.
The game was not a shoot-em-up like their 3D Starstrike releases, but was a new arcade adventure that starred
the legendary hero Jason (as in Jason and the Argonauts) in search of the Golden Fleece.
The game would have contained around 30 screens of highly detailed graphics along with some equally detailed gameplay. The game was due for release just after the Christmas period for £7.95, but never quite made it. Maybe Realtime’s transition to C64 was not too successful?
The game is believed to be complete, as it would have maybe been a little suicidal to offer it on sale without a complete game to send back. Did you ever order it?
A game by the Spectrum giants, never seen or heard of…
