Next up in the archives is a newly recovered Hungarian game thanks to Csaba Virag and Janos Szeitz (who digitized the tape) in the form of Az alkohol szelleme, which loosely translates to Alcohol’s Ghost.

The game was made in 1987, and very little is known about it – it was just found on a cassette given by Imre Loranth and Attila Virag. The main sprite is ripped from Montezuma’s Revenge, and the gameplay itself is sort of like a reversed Tapper.

Basically, you must block the tourists from drinking too much alcohol, whilst the spirit of the alcohol is trying to stop you. It’s a relatively simple game overall and features also ripped music by Chris Huelsbeck.

It isn’t known if the game was intended as a commercial release or done for public domain. We hope to learn more about it soon, but here it is for now so that you can check it out.
