Chicken Little

Chicken Little thumbnail

During the early 2000s, Argonaut Games were actively pitching a number of new projects to publishers, and one such title appears to have been based on Disney’s Chicken Little. Our latest post brings you previously unseen footage from what looks to be a pitch demo, suggesting that the studio had begun early development work on a potential adaptation of the film.

Very little is currently known about this particular version of Chicken Little, but the footage indicates that it had progressed beyond simple concept stages, with what appears to be early gameplay elements in place. Following the release of I-Ninja back in 2003, Argonaut Games had quietly begun work on a sequel which, although never officially announced, was internally greenlit and in development for a short period of time. Combined with financial troubles at Argonaut, the studio would ultimately enter liquidation in October 2004, bringing development of I-Ninja 2 to an abrupt end. Continue reading

Mission: Impossible

Mission: Impossible thumbnail

This week we had a surprise submission to the site, with a set of videos showcasing gameplay and rendered scenes from an unknown cancelled development of Mission: Impossible, which we believe was underway around 2005.

Details are sketchy at this stage, but it is assumed at this stage the Argonaut were planning to do the game for all the main platforms of the time, including Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox and what we can see here is what may have formed a pitch to get the development licence to the game.
