An odd entry this time, covering something which I was actually involved on :-) Tanx was to be an enhanced version of a game called Tanx written by David Ponting for Your 64 magazine as a type-in. The original game … Continue reading

Another unfinished Lepsi game, and unfortunatly another tried and tested theme, based on Galaxians. Controlling your space ship, you must blast attack waves of alien lifeform, all over the top of a set of nicely drawn bitmaps. The attackwaves are … Continue reading

Quite often when doing GTW64, we get a number of shocks and surprises that crop up, and none more than when we found a PDS disk with Tarzan Goes Ape written on it within Ashley Routledge’s disk collection. Started around … Continue reading

2003 Rage Bristol / Dangerous Games Ltd. Platforms: Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 2 Also known as: Andy McNab – Team SAS As you’ll be aware, the games industry is a turbulent one, where projects (and even companies) can often … Continue reading

"Technodream" is a fair "Lightforce" clone, with average graphics and gameplay. Although only just less than 10 years old, the game looks a lot older. It’s not known why the game was incomplete or who it was to be released … Continue reading

This is the start of what seems to be an odd conversion of a title released on Amiga and PC – an icon driven graphic adventure game which was called “Telekommando II – The Return of the Telekommando” Nothing is … Continue reading

Temple of Medom is an early and very strange game, where you control a bird initially flying over a landscape. Pressing fire and moving actually allows you to fly, but you can also land on the ground and turn into … Continue reading

Terminus has some nice graphics, but the actual gameplay is very simplistic and doesn’t offer hardly any playability at this stage. You simply have to shoot the incoming enemies, which follow a very monotonous waveform – so much so that … Continue reading

This is a title that seems to be missing at present and we believe was due for release by Novotrade. The same team that did titles such as Impossible Mission 2 and Express Raider on the C64. Now the last … Continue reading

Although we have been adding games to the archive for many years, we still continue to see various surprises and unknowns unearthed as time goes on. There i’m sure will be many more to come still. In late August of … Continue reading

A nice looking Tetris clone that was produced back in 1994 but sadly never got much further than its preview that sneaked out. Not too much to say apart from that it looks nice and plays ok, but still a … Continue reading

Seems we are building quite a collection of abandoned Tetris conversions, now with the addition of yet another called Tetrix. This was recovered from a set of Hungarian disks by Csaba Virag, and was written back in 1987 by two … Continue reading

1999 Insomnia Platform: Commodore Amiga (and later PC) In Thalimar: Land of Chaos, you control a powerful mage – a servant of darkness who wants to take over and burn villages, kill innocent people, and carry out other unceremonious acts … Continue reading

What a nice little game…. well, preview anyway. This is a Bubble Bobble style clone, even mixed with a little bit of Parasol Stars… which we never got to see. Nice cartoony graphics, and cute little objects. Looks like a … Continue reading

1992-1995 Thalamus / Grandslam Platforms: Commodore Amiga, Amiga CD32 and PC Originally conceived as a spiritual follow-up to Abandoned Places, The 7th Sword of Mendor (also known as Seventh Sword) was an ambitious RPG project from Hungarian team Amnesty Design. … Continue reading

Following on from the NES Pugsley’s Scavenger Hunt prototypes, we bring you two more this time for the Nintendo Gameboy. One is dated from the 22nd April 1993, though the other prototype is unknown – but we believe it is slightly earlier. Continue reading

The Attack of the Blue Bomber is a great little game – a clone of Fort Apocalypse and Airwolf by Elite. You must navigate your blue helicopter through a series of tight caverns, avoiding lasers and fired missiles. You must … Continue reading

A simple maze game from Lepsi I think. Quite simplistic, with simplistic gameplay and graphics. There doesn’t seem to be too much to actually do apart from run around the maze and collect the crystals. The Ball tries to take … Continue reading

Our next entry is a title that looks to have sadly been abandoned. The Blob (working title) was slated for release in 2013 and as part of the 16KB Cartridge Development Competition that year – but never surfaced. The title … Continue reading

As we crept into 1994, there were still very decent Amiga titles seeing release – and yet another promising looking title was the sequel to Blues Brothers – The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure. This time though, it was just Amiga users who would get delights of the famous duo – well actually, only SNES, PC and Game Boy users would ever get to play the game. The Amiga title would disappear into the ether and become one of the big Amiga mysteries. Continue reading
